Happy Time for Yoga Day!
September is National Yoga Month, (find events in your area here), and today is Time for Yoga day!
Yoga is a group of spiritual, mental, and physical practices, which originated in ancient India. It is known to be one of the six ‘Ä€stika (orthodox) schools of Indian philosophical traditions’. The phrase ‘Yoga’ has developed from the Sanskrit root word ‘Yuj’, which means ‘to unite’. And as per Yogic scriptures, the practice of Yoga can lead to the union of individual consciousness with that of the Universal Consciousness. Furthermore, this can indicate a perfect congruence between the mind and body, especially man and nature. Additionally, Yoga has been found to enhance quality of life, lower anxiety, insomnia, stress, back pain, and depression. It has also been found to reduce heart rate and blood pressure. And, perhaps not unexpectedly, yoga has been proven to improve strength, flexibility, and fitness.
So, it is time to roll out your yoga mats (or evolve towels if you’re lucky enough to be near a beach yoga class) and find out the perfect blend of mental and physical exercises that have captivated yoga practitioners around the world for thousands of years. The splendor of yoga is such that you do not have to be a ‘yogi or yogini’ to gain the benefits. Whether you are overweight, or fit, young or old, yoga has the ability to soothe the mind and boost the immune system. However, do not be overwhelmed by complicated yoga poses and fancy yoga studios. Remember, Yoga is for everybody! Just create a stress-free environment (where you want to practice yoga), get hold of some comfortable and breathable clothing (like men’s and womens tracksuits), and purchase yoga mats. With all these beside you, you are good to go! And if your ambitions have skyrocketed further (if you now want to teach Yoga to others), then you can take a up a certification course in teaching Yoga from firms like Siddhi Yoga who are known to offer a 200-hour online course on Yoga teaching. But before you venture into the journey, it would be a good idea to learn a bit about the certification course by searching for ryt 200 yoga teacher training online.
