Team Bearpaw is at it again! Last Saturday we teamed up with Habitat for Humanity for a home repair project for a very deserving couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Claghorn live in a home built by Mrs. Claghorn’s grandfather which has been home to five generations in their family. Mr. Claghorn is a Vietnam era Navy Veteran who has suffered injury and had multiple shoulder and back surgeries. Mrs. Claghorn suffers from Crohn’s disease and has had multiple surgeries as well. Due to disability, the Claghorns have not been able to maintain their home and fear having to lose the property that has been part of their family for generations. This is a dilemma that a lot of people worry about if they find that they are unable to work for whatever reason. Normally if it’s something like a critical illness then there is support for that (just look up something like Critical Illness Insurance: What Is It & Do I Need It? | Breeze). But it’s not always so easy, and unfortunately the Claghorns, just need this little bit of extra help. We are proud to serve a Veteran who served our country first and make their home safe to age in place with dignity!
Looking for roofing contractors near you to repair a leaking roof? Don’t let it surprise you if Team Bearpaw shows up in your search results! The Team got to work by helping to shingle the roof of the Claghorn’s beloved home. They have lived in their home for nearly 40 years, but their roof was in dire need of repair with leaks coming through and serious deterioration. Not even 104-degree weather could keep the team from completing this task. These types of repairs can plague so many homeowners, especially when they decide to sell and are finding it difficult to close the sale. Luckily there is something called – repair escrow that can be a savior for sellers. This repair escrow is an account to help pay for repairs after closing date so that both buyer and seller are happy with the end result.
Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for all of the incredible work they do and we are proud to have once again partnered with them to make our community a better place!
