Can you tell us a little about yourself (and your blog/page)?
I started blogging as something fun for myself, but I also wanted to show women that you can look cute and stylish at any age and budget. Most of the bloggers seemed to be young and wearing things that were not practical for my lifestyle. I was/am a mom and I didn’t work outside of the home; I was in my late 40’s so I wasn’t young; I didn’t dress up or wear high heels everyday; but I also didn’t wear sweatpants every day of the week. It’s important to take care of yourself and look nice because you will feel better about yourself. In my 18 years of being a stay at home mom, I learned that if I stayed in pj’s or sweats everyday I lacked motivation and just felt blah. I didn’t want that for myself or for other women. It’s also important to note that looking nice doesn’t have to cost a fortune. I didn’t have a lot of money to spend on clothes for myself, so I learned to shop sales, consignment stores and Goodwill. I also learned how to shop my closet by pairing things together that I had never tried before. It was exciting and I wanted to share this with other women.
