Back to the East Coast was like a chill pill, literally! Today, I had to bring out the heavier coat. A lot of layered outfits will come your way in the next few months ’cause winter is coming! Today’s look is my test-drive for our annual holiday dinner with some of my closest mommy friends, lots of things to keep warm and some shinny for festivity.
After a year putting together outfits and watching other style heroines doing so, I came to the conclusion that if you have men’s wear inspired element (s) in your outfit, the best thing to do is add some feminine touch. It could be as simple as ruby lips, silk scarf, dainty jewelry, or as complex as lace, chiffon, pleats or sequins. The jury is out on shoes, the “tradition” would be stilettos with jeans like the French girls, with the Normcore movement, I’ve seen sneakers worn with everything so I will let you decide how comfortable you are with the comfort. Today, I chose to wear a pair of snow boots (Thank you, BEARPAW!) but I might change my mind and wear a pair of platform oxford or boots on the day of.
