Take Over Travel Pockets at Disney World and Costa Rica

Hello BearPaw readers!

We’re Candy and Crystal and we are so excited to show you what we have been up to this summer so far. We’re sisters from the travel and fashion blog Travel Pockets which is based out of Tampa, FL and San Diego, CA. We live on opposite coasts, but that doesn’t stop us from traveling together.

Crystal and I kicked off the summer with a trip to Walt Disney World and stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in Orlando, FL.

Although there were several other lodges near Disney World that offered daily resort activities, we preferred Animal Kingdom Lodge mainly for its wide array of resort events. Hospitality features such as elaborate theming, extensive outdoor activities and impeccable guest service set this lodge apart from other hotels.

We loved the rooms that the lodge had offered us. Besides, Standard Suites, they also had Pool View and Savanna View bedrooms which included some cool amenities like coffee maker, mini-refrigerator and in-room safe. These suites had an aesthetic appeal, which added majorly to the charm of the surroundings.

The Savanna View Bedrooms, in particular, were themed in line with the wildlife abounding within the resort limits. The wooden floors, which added finesse to the entire room, definitely gave an impression of high-quality construction. We are hoping to replicate the same style for our home’s wood decking. Of course, we will have to source the right quality of products from a reputed online supplier website like https://tradefixdirect.com/ to make that dream possible. Honestly, most of our home renovation ideas are a result of our travel experiences!

We love Disney and we definitely needed comfy shoes to conquer this magical park. We had an ambitious schedule and visited four of Disney’s parks in one day! The memory foam cushioning in the BearlyThere collection gave us the extra support we needed to power through our long and magical day.

After a long weekend at Disney World, we spent the next weekend hanging out at Curtis Hixon Park. This area is one of the highlights in downtown Tampa, FL with museums, concerts, and free outdoor activities like yoga. With all of these different activities, we definitely wore shoes that fit the part.

During the Memorial Day weekend, we flew over to Uvita, Costa Rica and stayed in a gorgeous eco villa located in a preserved jungle. We were so excited to see monkeys and sloths in their natural habitat just footsteps from our villa.

Every morning we had an amazing breakfast view on a terrace that overlooked the incredible ocean views and jungle. It really is a beautiful part of the world. Part of me longs to move here and I even began looking at some Playas del Coco real estate, but that’s a dream for another time. For now, I just enjoyed waking up in this fantastic hotel. I liked dressing up for our morning breakfasts and wore my Roselle wedges. It was just the right amount of height and the microsuede footbed added extra comfort.

We’ve got a lot more adventures ahead of us and you can find us trotting around the world at www.thetravelpockets.com or on instagram @travelpockets.

We hope we have inspired you to get out there and travel this summer!
